Johnson killed his first wife, Yvonne Johnson by pushing her off a ninth-floor balcony of their Wolverhampton home.
In 1993 he was convicted of strangling Yvonne Bennett with a belt at their London home.
In 2016 he killed Angela Best after she left him and started a new relationship by hitting her over the head with a claw hammer and strangling her with a dressing gown cord.
Johnson appeared at court in January 2018 where he pleaded guilty to Best’s murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum recommendation of 26 years. He had two previous convictions for manslaughter.
